About Music Preschool

Music Preschool is a nurturing and dynamic environment where children prepare for kindergarten academically and socially while having fun singing AND learning to play the piano! Our curriculum, designed by Raya Grace, integrates academic basics with music education to create a well-rounded and engaging learning experience.

  • Expert-Designed Curriculum: Our curriculum was created by Raya Grace (aka Raya Leavitt Blackburn), a seasoned educator with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Music Education, a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction & Early Childhood Education, an administrative license, and more than 20 years of teaching experience.

Your Role as a Teacher

As a teacher at Music Preschool, you will:

  • Deliver our curriculum in a way that engages and excites young learners.

  • Follow the daily schedule and curriculum map with effective pacing and calm.

  • Introduce students to new and healthy foods during snack time, encouraging healthy eating habits.

  • Create a positive and supportive classroom environment where each child feels valued and inspired to learn.

  • Teach basic piano and music theory as part of the integrated curriculum, helping children develop a love for music from an early age.

Requirements

  • Experience working with young children and a passion for fostering their development.

  • Understanding of the fundamentals of music theory and beginning piano playing skills.

  • Ability to sing in tune and lead students in singing correctly.

  • Commitment to creating a fun, safe, calm and engaging learning environment.
